April joined NC Mountain Real Estate in 2020 after working in the Asheville, NC real estate market. Looking for a slower pace, while seeing the need for more affordable real estate, the Jackson County area has been the perfect fit. 
 
Born in Jacksonville, FL, April's roots are in Southwestern VA. A coal miner's great-granddaughter and an engineer's daughter, April moved from MN to TX (and everywhere in between) before finally calling Western NC home. Now with 30+ years in the area, she has the local knowledge you need to facilitate your move. From having successfully raised children, navigating the home building process, and fully immersing herself in the investment property arena, she has the unique perspective you are looking for in your agent. April's straight-forward, "tell it like it is" approach has been often quoted as "refreshing" to those used to the more polished type sales persona. Not telling you what you want to hear, but what you need to know is in the very fabric of who she is. 
 
In 2025, April added the title of business owner to her resume. With great pride in the legacy bestowed from her predecessor, April made the leap of faith to assume ownership of NC Mountain Real Estate. Confident in the growth of Western NC and in the resiliency of her Appalachian roots, April is making great strides in the residential and commercial markets.
